If you're looking for a reason to celebrate ANY day (if life just isn't legitimate enough for you) one place you can look to is the Earth Calendar .
There are so many ways to celebrate in families or all alone... Please consider a few of the "Best Holidays We Remember" and why they were so special. What works, what didn't work...
As comments come in, I'll add them to the main post if you like.
The joy's in the journey of preserving our past while it's still in the present... Come read about our family trees and how we research and preserve them!
LOOKEE- LOOKEE! FAMILYOLOGY has an ACTUAL FAMILY TREE that ANYONE can view for FREE on Tribalpages.com! Come take a look and see how everything you read about here fits in chronological context... It's also a work in progress...
(Sorry, for privacy and safety no living people are viewable without permission and password from the administrator)
The views described in this blog are as multidimensional as the sources... Facts are cited wherever possible... and attempts are made to draw an interesting narrative out of our family orchard. If you find something to be incomplete, inaccurate or offensive, please leave a comment or contact the blog team. Thank you!

...the best way to find updates is to use the search features (labels or the search bar above) because we don't put things in chronological order all the time!
The blog is a great way to start to get together as family and relatives. Due to the fact that so many of us are "stuck" or are "in a jam", the family blog can keep us in touch in ways that phoning can't. It won't replace the good old fashioned barbeque and potato salad family reunion, but hopefully it can lead up to some. Blogging seems to be a great way of sharing family photos, too. We can become more unified by sharing family memories; others can add their prospectives, giving us a multidimentional experience of events. I have a lot of photos and some videos and I know that there are a lot of photos out there. I think, for starters, that it would be a great experience to see an online slide show of pictures of family and relatives, labeled or sorted or not, just to give us all a taste of something great to come! I congratulate Karen for starting this up and Mom for adding to it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kyle!
ReplyDeleteFor sure this is a gathering place. Momilee's blog will be more for the immidiate family.
This Familyology is to draw in the far-flung family members so they may get to know us a bit and come to feel they have known our common ancestors as well. Hopefully we can get to know some others in the same way, through the eyes of another cousin...
