She married Lawrence Cobb, shown below
Rose appears in many group photos, and until this June of 2006, I didn't know who she was. Her round face and cheery countenance tell me she must have been a joy to know. No surprise she was chosen executrix of her father's will because of her generosity and tender care given him his last few years.
Going on a hunch from photo-back clues, I found them in a Vallejo city directory of the late 20's. Lawrence was the Manager of Vallejo Lumber and they lived at 1112 Capitol. This is the same address cited in an unidentified newspaper article that was among Alice Ambrose Krogman's things. I was fortunate enough to find the house still standing and the owner making repairs, so I was able to take a walk through and some pictures of the very place they lived.
I felt their 'presence' most in the areas where the original wood was, the built-in china cabinet and looking at this built-in desk...
There's an apartment above, where Lillian Cobb lived at the same time. The basement, with it's varying verticle space, runs the entire area of the house that isn't already garage.
